Total hypocrite Ocasio-Cortez outed for relying on combustion engine cars and vans while claiming fossil fuels are destroying the planet

Self-proclaimed ‘democratic socialist’ Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez of New York has regularly drawn the ire of Republicans on Capitol Hill and elsewhere, but she’s increasingly putting Democrats whom she aligns with, politically, on the spot as well.

For one thing, her grasp of public policy-making is infantile, at best, as evidenced by the recent sophomoric roll-out of her “Green New Deal,” which called for radically altering Americans’ use of current energy sources including nuclear power and those generated by fossil fuels within a decade — an impossibility.

For another, nearly every time she opens her mouth to opine on a subject she is quickly exposed for her hypocrisy, which, of course, reflects badly on herself but also on Democrats in general.

Case in point: While introducing a plan to “radically” eliminate Americans’ use of fossil fuels after claiming recently in a ‘sky-is-falling’ manner that we only have “12 years left” to “save the planet” (from destruction due to overuse/over-reliance on fossil fuels), Ocasio-Cortez has been outed for relying primarily on big fossil-fuel-guzzling modes of transportation.

As TownHall writer Timothy Meads noted:

“For thee but not for me,” New York Democratic Socialist Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez apparently believes when it comes to saving the planet from its potential doomsday within 12 years.

The New York Post added that “gas-guzzling car rides” have exposed the freshman lawmaker’s abject hypocrisy on the environment, her overtly political end-of-the-world prediction and the fact that she doesn’t believe the rules she prescribes for everyone else should apply to her.

“We’re like, ‘The world is going to end in 12 years if we don’t address climate change,’” she said in, like, January. “And, like, this is the war; this is our World War II.”

Just a week ago she elevated her rhetoric past the point of ludicrous when she said, “It is basically a scientific consensus that the lives of our children are going to be very difficult” due to climate change. “And it does lead young people to have a legitimate question: Is it OK to still have children?” (Related: Ocasio-Cortez celebrates LOSS of 25,000 Amazon jobs and billions in tax revenue proving Dems no longer party of ‘Main Street’ America.)

She’s a walking, talking example of hypocrisy

The only way to save ourselves is to “totally overhaul transportation by massively expanding electric vehicle manufacturing, build charging stations everywhere, build out high-speed rail … create affordable public transit available to all, with the goal to replace every combustion-engine vehicle,” according to her Green New Deal.

Where have we heard that before? Only from every other Left-wing climate change hoaxer to come before Ocasio-Cortez.

And like most of them who never lived up to the lifestyle expectations they have for others, “AOC” isn’t, either.

The Post reported that since Ocasio-Cortez launched her congressional campaign in May 2017, she relied very heavily on combustion engine vehicles, though there was a subway station just 138 feet from her Elmhurst campaign office:

In all, Ocasio-Cortez spent $29,365.70 on those emissions-spewing vehicles, along with car and van rentals — even though her Queens HQ was a one-minute walk to the 7 train.

And while she claimed she “knocked on doors until rainwater came through my soles” during the early part of her campaign after she defeated incumbent Dem Rep. Joe Crowley, her transportation habits changed, the Post investigation found.

Of course, that’s not Ocasio-Cortez’s sole bout with ‘green hypocrisy.’ While purging on big gas-guzzling Uber rides she “took a tough public stance” against taxis — yes, taxis — in February 2018 after a Yellow Cab driver committed suicide.

“Yellow Cab drivers are in financial ruin due to the unregulated expansion of Uber. What was a living wage job now pays under minimum,” she said.

Other examples of hypocrisy: Railing against hamburgers while sitting with her chief of staff in a restaurant as he ate a cheeseburger and complaining about plastic grocery bags then throwing a couple of them away though they are recyclable.

We keep up with Ocasio-Cortez’s hypocrisy at and the Left’s climate lunacy at
